Stray Cat Blues

I wanted to work with indigo fabrics... the idea for blues with oriental florals just grew from there. I liked the simplicity of a single unpieced border with these cats. I made it for my sister's birthday, but I really like it a lot and she told me she likes Amish quilts - which are frequently bright colors on black - another color option I considered for this quilt, and have already bought the fabric for... Soooo... I think I'll make her one like it in her choice of colors (and keep this one for myself). I think I spent more time picking the buttons than actually sewing the quilt.
