Liz's Quilt with Pillow

I made this quilt as a gift for my niece, Liz, for her graduation from Vassar this year. It's backed with Minkee Fleece in royal purple (see full front [link] and back views [link] in my gallery). I also made a pillow to match it (as well as to wrap it in), and a beaded chain to tie it all up - the beaded chain was a bit problematical - it kept twisting up and becoming impossible to untie, but it looked pretty! This picture shows the pillow for the quilt.

Anyway - the inside of the quilt is quilted with continuous spirals, the outer corners have '2005' quilted into them, the outside border is done with continuous waves (to show it came from So. Calif? maybe... but they looked pretty)... The interior border is quilted with important milestones from her years at Vassar, as well as the quilt label info. It reads:
Side one:"[her name] Vassar College Class of 2005 Graduation"
Side two:"Political Science Women's Studies 2001 Strong 2002 Raymond 2003
Side three: Ferry House & Madrid 2004 Indecent Exposure & Squirm 2005 Congratulations
Side four: From Aunt [] Uncle [] [Cousin __] Quilted by [] [my town], California 2005

The [] contain names omitted for security reasons. Anyway - I flew to New York to attend the graduation along with my son Liz loved her quilt, and we had a great time in both upstate New York and in NYC. Glad to be home tho.
